He has composed new music for Bang On A Can All-Stars, Meridian Arts Ensemble, Fred Frith Guitar Quartet, Loadbang, ETHEL, ARTE Quartett, and others. His compositions and guitar work appear on over 50 records. His Black Sabbath guitar lessons on YouTube are enjoyed by metal fans all over the world. His metal band Häßliche Luftmasken premiered in June 2011. This time Nick will perform new music for solo electric guitar. Some of these pieces began as improvisations which he recorded, transcribed, and re-learned. Others are thoroughly composed works. A few are minimalist improvisations based on a few simple ideas. All celebrate the sound of the electric instrument that Nick holds closest to his heart.
