Aleksandra Lelek
She began playing the cello at the age of 10. She is studying at The Academy of Music in Cracow under the lead of professor Zdzisław Łapiński. She also spent a semester at Leopold Mozart -Zentrum Universitat Augsburg taught by professor Julius Berger. In addition, she has been taking part in masterclasses with Arto Noras, Julius Berger, Jeroen Reuling, Francois Guy, Krzysztof Penderecki, Ivan Monighetti, John Kadz, Na Mu La, Kazimierz Michalik, Tomasz Strahl, Desmong Hoebig, Hans Jensen, Laurence Lesser, Michael Flaksman, Peter Buck. She was rewarded during the International Cello Competition in Liezen, Austria, the 4th International Lutoslawski Competition for young players in Drozdowo, 7th International Rostropovitch Cello Competition in Paris, Morningside Music Bridge in Canada, 7th International Independent Competition 'Individualis' in Ukraine, International Summer Academy PragWienBudapest 2010. She participated in the Meeting of the 20th century Master with Young Artists of the 21st century, organized by Krzysztof Penderecki European Music Centre Poland, European Chamber Music Academy in Vilnius (ECMA), International Musical Enghien Encounters in Belgium, Young Talent Music Festival in Schiermonnikoog, Holland, International New Music Festiwal 'Missa Est' in Munich, Kronberg Academy, International Contemporary Music Festival in Cracow, Viana Music Course and Festival in Viana do Castelo, Portugal. She made recordings for the Academy of Music in Cracow, ORF Radio Kulturhaus in Viena, European Chamber Music Academy (Session in Vilnius) and in a cello ensemble 'Cello Passionato' directed by professor Julius Berger for '4 for Peace' album.
Maciej Zimka
He graduated from Academy of Music in Kraków in the accordion class of professor Janusz Pater. He performed the pieces of artists such as R. Haubenstock-Ramati, V. Holmboe, A. Nordheim, S. Gubajdulina, Z. Bargielski, T. Hosokawa, A. Krzanowski, C. Meijering. He won 1st prize of the Gorlice Accordion Confrontations, 1st prize at the International Accordion Competition in Vilnius, 3rd prize at the International Accordion Festival in Klingenthal, 5th prize at the International Accordion Festival in Castelfidardo. He performed during Sound 12 Festival in Newcastle upon Tyne, Kraków Accordion Festival, Kraków Composers’ Music Days, Kraków Nights Festival. Maciej Zimka also toured the USA (Chicago, Princeton, Trenton), performed in Italy (Torino), in the Ukraine (Lviv). He also composes works for the accordion, other instruments and chamber music ensembles. His compositions were published by the Absonic and Edition Astra Music Publishing Houses and won the 2nd prize at the International Composition Competition in Sanok as well as 3rd place during the Adam Didur Polish Composition Competition in Sanok.
