An interdisciplinary artist based in Rotterdam, specialized in interactive art projects integrating physical action with digitally generated sound and video projection, in which the aspects of public participation/involvement and the collaborations with the artists of different disciplines play an important role. He studied composition at the conservatory and electro-acoustic music at the Institute of Sonology in the Netherlands, as well as interactive techniques in IRCAM in Paris.
His projects are carried out e.g. in the form of workshops with school children, open sessions for spontaneous participation, or public performances when different artists are invited to perform live painting or other creative actions. One of his projects was "Tracking Rotterdam", realized in the years 2009-2012, online documentation: www.trackingrotterdam.nl
He presented his work both in the context of established art venues like Cinémathèque Française in Paris, the Fondazione Morra in Naples or De Wereld van Witte de With festival in Rotterdam, and also in uncommon settings: public buildings, streets, parks, etc. He creates also compositions or music performances for contemporary dance and experimental film, e.g. for the film "Liquidator" by Karel Doing, FOCAL award winner in London in 2012.
