Adalen - dotknięcie nocy - performance (Adalen - the touch of night)
It is a theatrical and musical performance for two voices. An actor and a musicians. A scenic activity based on Grzegorz Woźniak’s metaphors inspired with the experience of night. Night - an experience of loneliness but also fragile fulfilment. Night is not only the space of a club, a nightly community, it is also a mystery of art. The night is a woman, whose face is woven from longing. Metaphors of night are created along with music. The performance will be accompanied with flute music.

Around the same time Wyrzykowski started to make films, which connected elements of media analysis and documentary values. Wyrzykowski's art has been quickly dominated by new technologies and his interest in their impact on the perception of the human body, the phenomenon of 'telepresence', the multiplication of body in TV shows (which is also an important subject of his performances), and also the exploration and possibilities of creating the virtual world. Around 2000 Wyrzykowski started his collaboration with the Ukrainian artist Ilia Cziczkan. Among the results there was a photography cycle and a film entitled Obrońcy (2001-2002) and the film Atomic Love.

Zoë Mc Pherson11:45 PM
concert
Zoë Mc Pherson is an interdisciplinary artist based in Berlin whose kaleidoscopic output channels a myriad of sources and researches including Inuit culture, Hybridity, Kurdish feminism, Vodun polyrhythms and the practice of Cat's Cradle. Her most recent work 'String Figures' is an ongoing trans-global art project fusing electronic sound, ethnomusicological research, video art and choreography into a rich audiovisual tapestry that collapses worlds, histories and timeframes. Released on SVS Records with a series of films directed by Alessandra Leone, the album explores an array of dualities - traditional/contemporary, organic/electronic, historical/futuristic - with its core theme of string as one of the most ancient and playful art forms with seemingly infinite possibilities. Her kinetic AV performance occupies a singular space at the intersection between forward-thinking club music, audio-visual culture and sound art. Her DJ mixes are at the intersection between trippy field recordings and powerful percussive club music. Recent mixes include Rinse FM, Red Light Radio, the Lot Radio.

Silver Waves10:30 PM
concert
Silver Waves are the exhilarating currents emanating from Dylan Mallett when he gets busy with his soundboard. Initially established through a desire to experiment freely with sound and narrative, the project has since grown to encompass a weapons-grade electronic music powerhouse which contorts genre limitations and club structure into emotionally charged, twisting rhythmic productions that defy expectation. With a compositional approach inspired by the methodology of electroacoustic music, the work of Silver Waves revolves around contrast and recontextualisation - Soaring melodies are coaxed out of found sounds, set against bludgeoning splinter-rhythms and roiling acousmatic noise whilst shifting tempos and stop-start dynamics invoke a fluid and distinctly tangible nature to the work. A far cry from the cold rigidity of much dance-focused electronic music, Silver Waves favours emotional communication and maximalist impact as driving forces in both his productions and high octane live shows; in which his reformatted compositions incorporate live vocals and improvised effects mangling, performatively delivered with a thunderous urgency.
Aja11:30 PM
concert / performance
Nottingham, UK based AJA plays a noise/techno with unrelenting positive/assault delivery. She gives herself to her audience, an extremely cathartic and uplifting experience for the crowd. Not for the faint-hearted, her expression grew from a place of anger but has evolved into sharing, and inclusivity for her, and a dual cleansing immersive live experience. Although her performance could be interpreted as erotic, her intent is one of a provocation focused on/exploiting feminist issues and an alternative to ‘New Sincerity’. AJA's audience tends toward the antithesis of beard scratching cis male stereotypes the noise/experimental genre is associated with, and her music draws more and more from techno forms. AJA had a record out on Opal Tapes in 2018 which featured in Quietus’ 2018 top 100 AOTY.

International Festival of Contemporary Music and Visual Arts „Mózg Festival” is an encounter of artists who work and create in all areas of contemporary music as well as performance art and multimedia installations where music plays an important part.
Artists who participate in the festival come from all around the world. This reflects the multicultural principle of Mózg Festival and enables the audience to experience and understand different aspects of various cultures.
The festival presents the newest performance techniques and interdisciplinary combinations that relate to and honour tradition.
Among the invited artists there are outstanding characters from the artistic world as well as young artists, whose hitherto activity manifests uniqueness. We feel that an indispensable part of the festival is the participation of local artists who meet the above-mentioned expectations. All artistic activity is treated as means leading to deeper understanding of the surrounding reality and changes that occur in the world.
The upcoming 3 editions of the festivals will be held under a motto “Art as a path to understanding”.
We believe that art, especially contemporary, is a tool that helps unlock hidden capabilites to understand everything that surrounds us. In other words, we think that art is not an objective in itself but a means to achieve certain goals and as such it plays an important social role. We assume that experiencing contemporary art that is often created during an artist’s performance allows anyone, who participates in the act of creation, both the audience and and creator, to expand their ability to think independently, which in turn consequently leads to the deeper understanding of self, people around and occurring situations.
The festival is multicultural as we believe that awareness of cultural difference and acceptance of these differences lies at the foundation of international understanding. An individual that experiences contemporary art on a daily basis and is equipped with knowledge about cultural differences that occur within the surrounding community and has a chance to live consciously among others, as a member of a developing multicultural civil society that is able to make decisions regarding themselves and fellow members of the community. Such person is rid of fears and full of understanding towards the needs of other people.
